1 Fatality On HWY 7 Brazos River Bridge Near Marlin

One man was killed this evening in an accident when he was traveling west on HWY 7 outside of Marlin, Tuesday evening around 4:30 pm. The man was driving a single cab semi-trailer truck when a tire blew out and caused the driver to run off the side of the Brazos River Bridge into a wooded area.

The semi-trailer struck a few trees before being halted by one tree that prevented the driver from plunging into the river.

The unknown Male was pronounced dead at the scene by Falls County Justice of The Peace Debra Trotter around 7 pm.

Texas DPS, Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Marlin VFD, Chilton VFD, Lott VFD, Acadian EMS, TXDOT and Union Pacific Railroad were all on the scene.
