The Marlin Bulldogs have struggled to find their identity this season but found their rhythm against Thrall.

The Bulldogs faced off against Thrall in Chilton Thursday, October 18, 2018. The 1st half of the game Thrall was in control leading the Dogs with a 14-0 lead going into halftime.

At the beginning of the 3rd quarter it appeared that Thrall would continue to force their will against Marlin as they scored another TD making the score a 21-0 lead.

But, the momentum of the game change when QB Braylen Fisher threw the ball in the endzone to #3 receiver LaZarion Coleman for a touchdown making the score 21-7 with the extra point.

The Bulldogs defense came alive and fought causing a fumble that resulted in another Bulldogs touchdown by Junior running back #4 Sir Charleston Lee. Pena misses the FG attempt and the score is 21-13 Thrall at this point.

The Dogs defense was still fired up and some big plays were made from SirCharleston Lee, Tre Johnson, TyDae Mayes, Ty Harris, Ashton Rick’s and DC Peoples, preventing Thrall from making any positive progression and forcing them to turnover.

The Dogs capitalized on that turnover and put the ball in the endzone on a rushing TD by #4 SirCharleston Lee. The Dogs put the ball back into the hands of SirCharleston Lee on the 2 point attempt and succeeded making it a tie ball game Thrall 21 – Marlin 21.

Thrall would eventually put the ball back in the endzone and came out on top with the victory 28 – 21.

Eventhough the Bulldogs lost the battle this game proved the Dogs have fight and it shows that Marlin is making progress as a team.
