Former MPD Captain John Simmons Sworn In As MISD Chief Of Police

Former MPD Captain John Simmons has been sworn in as MISD Cheif Of Police. He will begin his new duties as Chief with the school district October 1, 2018.

Simmons was with MPD for 5 years. His last day with the department was Wednesday September 26, 2018.

MISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Seabolt stated “I want to assure the community that the purpose of our police department isn’t to lock our students up but to provide safety to our campuses”.
