MHS Honors Manuel Soto

Sponsored by

Marlin High School honors one of their own Manuel Soto. Manuel was held at gunpoint in an armed robbery while working at the Marlin Exxon.

The robbery occurred last Wednesday April 11, 2018 around 9:30 PM.

Two weeks before Manuel was held at gunpoint he was involved in a wreck that caused his vehicle to catch fire.

You can say that Manuel has certainly had a bad break in the last few weeks but he is confident that God has a purpose for it all.

MHS principal and students wanted to do something to show their support for Manuel so they planned a surprise party. When Manuel entered the room he began to cry tears of joy. He was overwhelmed with emotion from the support he received from his principal, teachers, and peers.

Keep reporting the good news Slugger. Marlin is a great place and the news you are reporting is what the world needs to see about our town. We read you site more than the Democrat’s online presence. Keep up the good work and we will keep reading.

To Manuel, you have always been very nice to me when I am in town. That store is usually my first stop when I hit the city limits. God has his hands on you and he will continue to support you. Stay strong!!
