Marlin ISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Seabolt has been the center of attention here lately. Last Wednesday, June 11, 2018 Marlin ISD Board of Managers & members from TEA went into closed session to discuss the Superintendents contract but no action was taken during that meeting.

A second meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 2018 and no action was taken again.

After closed session, MISD Board President Kevin Benjamin said:

•Marlin ISD will be open for the 2018-2019 school year.

•The schools district has made progress on STARR test.

• Dr. Seabolt is not under investigation for any wrongdoing.

Michael Seabolt should be fired. Very little progress is being made under his leadership. He does not have the support of his staff and he is generally disliked. He is robbing Marlin blind making 140,000 dollars a year for a 2A district with 1000 students. Shame on the board for giving him 5 more years to rob Marlin ISD some more. To make matters worse look at what the Admin staff across the board is making. Highway robbery,
