Two Men Arrested In String Of Armed Robberies Across Falls County

A string of armed robberies took place in Falls County Wednesday night of April 11, 2018. The 1st robbery occurred at Marlin Exxon at the intersection of Business HWY 6 and State HWY 7 around 9:30 pm.

A black male disguised in a black ski mask entered the store and held the cashier at gunpoint. The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled to an awaiting vehicle. The suspects headed west on HWY 7 towards Lott & Chilton and robbed Tommy’s Phillips 66 convenience store.

While responding to the armed robbery call in Marlin, Lott PD spotted the vehicle described in the robbery fleeing the parking lot of the Phillips convenience store. Lott PD pursued the vehicle down CR 409. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The two suspects fled the vehicle but the driver was caught.

Law enforcement agencies from Falls County SO, Marlin PD, Lott PD, Texas DPS, Texas Game Warden, TDCJ tracking dogs, Constable Marion Humphrey, and Constable Jonathan Shoemaker were all on the search for the fleeing suspect.

Around 12 AM Thursday morning Law officials received a call that the suspect made an attempt to enter the Lott Cefco on HWY 77 but the store was on lock down. Eye witnesses spotted the suspect running across HWY 77 into a wooded area.

Around 1:30 AM law officials cornered the suspect on N. Alley Street in Lott, Texas and made the arrest. He was transported to the Falls County Jail in Marlin.

No injuries were involved in any of these incidents.
