Councilwoman Susan Byrd responded to Mayor Keefer’s interview that was released Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
Mayor Keefer responded in an interview with Marlin Pride to allegations of “profiting at the city’s expense,” and “lack of transparency,” made by Councilwoman Susan Byrd in last Tuesday’s council meeting on January 8, 2019.
In this exclusive interview with Marlin Pride Councilwoman Susan Byrd elaborated on her allegations.
Councilwoman Byrd said, “We need strong leadership with an abundance of transparency”.
She also stated, “The little concern that always bothers me about the Appraisal District is that, we all saw, when we looked up the information, the Mayor’s house was valued at $18,000.”
“His property that’s located at 1102 Live Oak Street is valued at $3,000, when it had a previous value of $30,000.”
