High-Speed Police Chase Ends In Car Crash

Around 4:30 p.m. Monday evening Marlin PD attempted to stop a vehicle for a routine traffic stop but resulted in a high-speed chase.

The chase ended at the corner of Commerce & Roosevelt Street in south Marlin.

The suspect hit a tree & fled from the vehicle into a wooded area leaving a child behind.

Marlin PD, Falls County Sheriff’s Department, Texas State Troopers, Texas Game Wardens and TDCJ Tracking Unit were all involved in the hunt for the suspect.

The suspect was eventually found and detained.

He was transported to FCHC for evaluation and after he was released he was taken to the Falls County Jail.

The child was not injured and was released to a relative.
