Thank you for your continued support of the Marlin Independent School District. Your feedback is important to us as we usher in a new school year. We invite you to collaborate with us as we develop our new Board of Manager’s goals for the 2019-2020 school year. Our goal is to reach every student, every day! In doing so, we are focusing on the growth of each individual student. Our goal this year will focus on math, reading, and the college, career, and military readiness standards (CCMR). Our goals are as followed:
- The percentage of students in grades 4-8 who grow at least one or more academic year(s) on the STAAR math exam will increase 5 percentage points each year from 54% to 69 % by August 15, 2022.
- The percentage of students in grade 4-8 who grow at least one or more academic year(s) on the STAAR reading exam will increase 7 percentage points each year from 59% to 80% by August 15, 2022.
- The percentage of graduates who will qualify for community college/university, military, or industrial certification will increase annually by 5 percentage points from 34% to 49% by July 2022.
We invite you to take our survey on the above goals. Please let us know if this growth is adequate or not. Please feel free to make suggestions. The link for the survey is listed below.
